The study found that couples sleeping together experienced this stage for a longer period with fewer disruptions versus those that slept alone.

Couple sleeping together also have in sync sleep patterns, the study found, which researchers believe may be a sign of satisfaction and profundity in relationships. According to the study, the higher the participants rated the importance of their relationship to their lives, the stronger the synchronicity of sleep was with their partner.
